1. How truthful was Gatsby when he first relayed the story of his life to Nick? Why do we get the whole story now?
Perhaps to many readers finding out that a favorite character lied is the most devastating thing, Gatsby's life story was completely and utterly different than what he had relayed. What was even worse was that a reporter was the one who uncovered Gatsby's true life was a reporter. Why we get the whole story now? I honestly have no clue perhaps it was to lead to a suspension or a climax or maybe to put in mixed emotions into Nick. The true reason I have yet to find out maybe its for future passages.
