Why does Gatsby tell Nick about his life? Do you believe Gatsby? Does Nick believe Gatsby?
Cuase he doesnt want Nick to think badly of him he also wants to make he think that he is a good so Nick can introduce Gatsby to Daisy. At first Nick disbelieves gatsby because of the look on his face when he said he went to Oxford. But he starts to believe as he takes out souvenirs from his story. Such as Montenegro's medal, rubies and a picture of his time in Oxford. I honestly believe him after all of his stash of pocket souvenirs but I wonder if he planned it to meet Daisy?
Why does Gatsby deliver so many goods and services to Nick’s house?
He delivers these goods because Daisy is coming over and apparently they were lovers before the war so he wants to make a good impression and have Daisy fall in love with him again. I believed that he had planned this all from the beginning and intended to convince Nick so he could meet Daisy and make an impression. Though to my honest opinion he made a very bad first impression because he was very nervous but later on things went smoothly.
