Is Nick an honest narrator?
What is Honesty? Honesty is being true in words and in oneself. Though is that what Nick is? At the end of chapter three he says he is one of the fewest honest people he knows. Which implores the question if he is honest, in my understanding he is honest in his words but not to himself. He says that he does not love Jordan Baker but that is an obvious lie for there are many hints that he in a way likes her more than a friend. There are many passages in chapter three that states that he is slightly jealous of other man, in other chapters he is clearly not honest with his opinion between the affair Tom is clearly having and also his opinion on his cousin Daisy. I must say that he is honest but not in his opinions and thoughts.
